My friend Andrea brought a new iPad. She likes it very much. It can play movie, music, show photos and view webpage with network. One day, I was watching a movie Iron Man on my iPhone, she found the movie and was excited to ask for the movie. Actually, Andrea and I hardly ever watch movie because of the busy work. So we don�t know Iron Man was born almost four years ago.

I spoke to a little kid today and I was as humbled as I have ever been. We all sit here at times moaning about nothing. We moan at FIFA with lag or when we lose. We moan when we miss the bus. We moan after a day of work. We moan about having no money. We moan about someone disagreeing on the forum.

This kid is not going to see their tenth birthday. They have had septicaemia. They have had E-coli. They have an illness that is going to kill them before they even reach an age of double digits. They are never going to be able to drink, smoke, gamble, find romantic love, reproduce or dare I say even read a site like this where you need to be thirteen years old.

All this kid does through life is smile even with wires sticking out of their skin and some contraption hooked up to them that is a nuisance to us all. We moan when the label on our clothing digs in but this kid has a hole in their body with far worse protruding.

Next time we moan about something, spare a thought for those who would laugh at our trivial problems and would swap positions in a heartbeat. Life is not so bad after all.

Most people don't realise this but when you game on Xbox Live for a prolonged period of time, you actually become rather hardcore to what you see and hear. Not the recent gamers who live inside the virtual bubble of being in a party with friends but the Xbox gamers from more than three or four years ago. Those that argued into the headset or were able to have a great conversation with a complete stranger through sheer respect.

These gamers do very well on forums like this and many others. They have the upper hand. You do not fear written words after all when you have learned to deal with shouting and abuse in your ear. You learn an element of calmness and control that serves you well on forums.

That is until a gamer comes up against a group of non-gamers in another game or a group of moderators/admin who simply are not hardcore enough. That is when the lion that is the Xbox gamer is suddenly too scary for the mouse that is non-Xbox gamer or the staff who have no idea what to expect.

Big words do not scare an Xbox gamer in forum with non-gamers. Name calling, abuse or arguments do not do a thing to a gamer. We've all been there, we've all done it and we've all won.

To go from the fast-paced performance driven world of Xbox Live to a basic forum or browser-based game where there is no skill is simply too easy.

The worst case scenario for browser-based gamers is when a group of online gamers from the Xbox Live scene decide to make a team in that game. Two things are always guaranteed to follow.

First off is controversy. Browser-based games offer nothing in terms of language, tone or competition. An Xbox gamer comes into an easy text-based game with knowledge and authority. They will speak their mind and will easily take over forums no problem. It is easy to post on a forum having argued live online vs a rival. A forum response can take you hours if you like or even days. Online it is live and mere seconds.

Secondly is competition. They are games played vs text on a screen that you can play in your sleep. The gamer will always do well. Anyone who has played PGR4 on a hot lap, Gears of War horde level 50 or FIFA against a top 50 team will understand what I mean. Xbox gamers will always win in browser-based games. They know nothing else.

You see Xbox gamers play a title for a year at the most. In that year, they go up as high as they can and move on. It is a total reset for the next game. They game flat out. Browser-based gamers cannot do that. They game for years and years on the same game and always at a snail pace. Xbox Live gamers only know flat out. Nothing less.

So what happens when a group of Xbox gamers get together on a browser-based game? Quite simply, they win and the rest of the game falls apart. Browser-based teams get jealous and spiteful. They implode. They don't really know each other never even having used a chat program like MSN let alone spoken to them on Xbox Live or seen them over Skype. They are virtual strangers held together praying for a win that a hardcore gamer will take from them.

A Xbox gamer will not give up when in front like your average browser-based gamer. The thought of someone else winning is simply not tolerated.

Browser-base gamers rely on a pecking order to succeed. Their character is older than yours, so they think they are the shit. On equal footing with an equally aged character, the Xbox gamer would destroy them. They know it, the Xbox gamer knows it and the game knows it. Browser-based mods have nothing to thwart an Xbox gamer with other than a ban button or a lock thread button. They are passengers in the scheme of things. Unable to articulate on the level of a hardcore intelligent gamer, they panic when the shit hits the fan.

In all truth, a browser-based gamer is not a real gamer. You aren't real gamer until you have gamed against others in equal machinery and won. You aren't a real gamer until you have raced someone head to head and shown skill or killed someone who was trying to kill you with equal guns on a shooter. Only then do you understand what it is like to be a real gamer rather than a casual click gamer who is destroyed on equal footing by real gamers.

basically i have a compilation of songs i want to put on my iphone, i want the artist of each song to be listed under artists in the player but i want the songs to be grouped on one album. the songs have different artists in itunes but i had to change the album artist to 'various artists' to avoid making like 40 different versions of the same album for each song.

is what i want possible? it doesn't seem like a ridiculous thing to ask for.

Manchester United midfielder Ji-Sung Park wants to finish his career at Old Trafford, amid reports he could leave the club this summer.

The South Korean had a disappointing season, playing just 17 times in the Premier League, scoring twice.

That has led to speculation that he could leave the club this summer, but Park, 31, insists he never wants to play for another club.

"It's true that I said I want to retire at United," he said. "But what I want does not always translate to reality. It becomes more feasible when the whole situation clicks."

Park finished the season with United, Premier League runners-up to rivals Manchester City, without a medal for the first time since he joined the club in 2005.

Park, who will be out of contract next summer, admitted he had a disappointing season.

"I want to forget the past and think about what I have to do in the future," he said. "I do not have time to think about next season. I need to rest mentally and physically."

Shield switched to Villa Park

This year's Community Shield match between Manchester City and Chelsea will take place at Villa Park. The traditional curtain-raiser for the English domestic season has been switched to Aston Villa's ground from its usual home at Wembley Stadium as the latter is hosting the final of the Olympic football tournament one day earlier.

The 90th edition of the former Charity Shield will take place in the Midlands on the 12th of August, a Sunday, while the Olympic football tournament culminates with a final that Saturday.

Aston Villa's ground, which has a capacity of almost 43,000, has staged nine senior England internationals and 55 FA Cup semi-finals. It also hosted the 1931 and 1972 Charity Shield matches before the fixture was switched to Wembley.

Alex Horne, FA General Secretary, said that Villa Park's tradition of hosting important matches made it an ideal venue for the opening match of the season.

�Villa Park is one of English football�s most iconic grounds and has a wonderful tradition of hosting some of the game�s biggest matches," he said.

"Once we knew the Olympic football schedule, we worked hard to secure a suitable alternative venue for The FA Community Shield 2012 and are delighted that Aston Villa have agreed to host the season�s traditional curtain raiser.�

Barca want Bale

As reported by Telegraph Sport's Matt Scott last month, the club�s technical department, led by sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta, considers the 22 year-old Bale to be the perfect long-term replacement for Eric Abidal, who recently underwent a liver transplant.

The club�s chief scout, Albert Valent�n, checked out Bale�s performance for Tottenham in the 3-1 win at Fulham last November, when the Welshman set up Aaron Lennon for Spurs� second goal.

Bale, though, is contracted to the north London club until 2015 and manager Harry Redknapp last week rubbished reports linking the Welshman with Barcelona. "I wouldn't think there is the slightest bit of truth in that [Bale joining Bar�a]," Redknapp said. "Not a chance, I wouldn't have thought."

The Spaniards, though, believe that Bale would offer them quality and pace while providing them versatilty with him able to play at left-back or on the wing while, at 22 years-old, remains young enough to give a decent return should he move on beyond the Nou Camp.

Solskjaer talking to Villa

Former Manchester United striker Solskjaer, who led Molde to an historic double in his first full campaign in charge, has flown into Birmingham to meet with Villa owner Randy Lerner regarding the vacancy.

Lerner is so keen to speak to the Norwegian that he arranged for his own private plane to transport him from Solskjaer's home town of Kristiansund.

"Molde Football Club is aware of interest and contact from Aston Villa, and is aware that Aston Villa and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer are talking together," the club confirmed in a statement this morning.

Solskjaer has spoken of his desire to manage in the Premier League, ideally with Manchester United after leaving his position as the club's reserve manager to take up his role at Molde.

Solskjaer's odds on taking up the post vacated by McLeish on Monday were slashed yesterday down to 6-4 from 25-1, with the Norwegian odds-on favourite today.

Villeneuve makes NASCAR return

Jacques Villeneuve will return to NASCAR action this year with Penske in the two road course races in the Nationwide Series, the team has announced.

The 1997 Formula 1 world champion contested the Road America and Montreal races for Penske last year, finishing third at the US track and taking pole position at the circuit named after his father Gilles.

"I appreciate Penske Racing giving me the opportunity to get back behind the wheel of the #22 Dodge this season," said Villeneuve.

"Road America and Montreal are two of my favourite racetracks. I feel, after winning the pole last year at Montreal, that we can have a lot of success. A NASCAR victory is something I want."

Penske Racing team president Tim Cindric added: "Jacques is a great road racer that brings extensive experience to the #22 team.

"He gave us two strong runs last year and we feel he can do the same this season. We would like to be the team that gives him his first NASCAR victory."

Villeneuve took his maiden Indycar win at Road America in 1994, and he followed it up with another a year later on his way to the title before graduating to F1.

He never enjoyed particular success in Montreal during his Formula 1 career. His best finish came first time out in 1996, where he finished second to Williams team-mate Damon Hill.

So the countdown is going, 71 days to go. I remember being out in Trafalgar Square back when there was 420 or so days to go. The countdown is on. To what you may ask. The 2012 Olympics of course.

Who cares? My fucking point exactly. Don't get me wrong, I watch athletics on the TV. I love the whole cramming of events into a three week period. I have watched every Olympic games since I was tiny.

What is getting on my nerves is the over the top bullshit that we keep hearing about. Every news broadcast is about the Olympics. Every poster on every bus stop is about the Olympics. Police talk about it. The side of every bus mentions it. There are signs up on the London transport network all about it.

If it is such a big deal, why the fuck can no one who lives in London get any tickets for an event they want to see? That's right, if you bought tickets you got randomly sent tickets for a random event. Their way of stopping you whoring the events you want.

Why the hell would anyone wanting to see Usain Bolt break the world record want to end up going to see beach volleyball played in Horse Guards Parade on a pile of sand made to look like a beach?

What strikes me is how lost the country is getting in the fanfare. News bulletins regarding murders or world events are being put second. Sports normally comes last and so it should.

The country has gone Olympic mad or rather the TV and celebrities have. You or I don't really give a fuck and it is shit we have to put up with this becoming progressively more intrusive over the next 71 days. What a crock of shit.

MPs call for violent video game ban

The Labour backbencher Keith Vaz, chair of the Home Affairs Select Committee and a longstanding critic of the video games industry, led calls for new powers to ban material rather than only apply age classification.

An Early Day Motion sponsored by Mr Vaz called on the Government to "provide for closer scrutiny of aggressive first-person shooter video games�.

It says parliament �is concerned that PEGI as a classification system can only provide an age-rating and not restrict ultra-violent content�.
PEGI is the single European system of self-regulation adopted by the video games industry. Under the system the Call of Duty titles are rated as suitable for only those over 18 years old.

Mr Vaz�s EDM, tabled on 25 April, has attracted the support of only seven other MPs, but he continued to suggest a link between Breivik�s killing spree and his video gaming in a Parliamentary question yesterday. He asked the Culture Minister Ed Vaizey yesterday whether new restrictions would be introduced in light of testimony in the Norwegian court.

He was told the regime around video games is already due to be tightened to make it a criminal offence to supply titles to individuals to outside their classification.

Breivik, who has admitted killing 77 people, claimed he had used Call of Duty: Modern Warfare to �develop target acquisition� using "holographic" technology.

�If you are familiar with a holographic sight, it's built up in such a way that you could have given it to your grandmother and she would have been a super marksman,� he said.

The court has also heard how Breivik immersed himself "full time" in World of Warcraft, an online game focused on magic, dwarves, orcs and other familiar fantasy themes.

Keith Vaz has long campaigned against violent video games and last year tabled an EDM suggesting a link between the Malm� far-right shootings of 2010 and the first-person shooter Counter-Strike.

McLaren to loan Williams equipment

The garage fire that overshadowed Williams' first win in Formula One for seven and a half years on Sunday, after Pastor Maldonado had taken the chequered flag, caused severe damage.

A considerable amount of equipment was destroyed in the blaze, leaving Williams little time to replace or repair ahead of first practice in Monaco next Thursday.

But the "camaraderie and spirit of co-operation" described by team principal Sir Frank Williams that came to the fore as the fire took hold when personnel from a number of teams battled to extinguish it, will again be prevalent over the coming days.

In particular, McLaren are to loan equipment to Williams to ensure they can compete as strongly as possible in Monaco.

The links between the two teams are significant as three former Williams engineers are currently employed by McLaren, whilst Jenson Button started his F1 career at Grove.

Williams denies Senna seat threat

Williams has quashed speculation that Bruno Senna's place at the team is under threat if the Brazilian does not lift his game over the next few races.

While Senna's team-mate Pastor Maldonado delivered a brilliant victory from pole position in Spain, Senna endured a tougher weekend - spinning out of Q1 and then crashing out of the race after a collision with Michael Schumacher.

That performance prompted rumours that Williams could make a push for test driver Valtteri Bottas to make the step up, with his speed in Friday practice sessions this year having impressed his bosses.

However, Williams board member Toto Wolff says that the outfit remains totally committed to Senna � and that there is no desire to fast track Bottas in to a race seat before he is ready.

"We are not replacing anybody," Wolff told AUTOSPORT. "We have contracts with two drivers, and we are supporting our drivers as much as we can and as well as we can.

"The decision to take on Bruno and Pastor was a very carefully taken one and we will push on - not do some knee-jerk exercise.

"With Valtteri, we are going through a development school and the decision to run him on Fridays was very carefully decided. We are not going to burn him up either by putting him in a situation that we think is not appropriate. So the rumours are rubbish."

AVB favourite for Anfield job

Former Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas is now the bookies' favourite to succeed Kenny Dalglish as Liverpool manager.

Dalglish was sacked by the Reds after a disappointing Premier League season in which Liverpool finished eighth.

Villas-Boas, who has been out of work since he was dismissed by Chelsea in early March, has been installed as 6-4 favourite with Sky Bet.

Villas-Boas left the club with the Blues in fifth place in the Premier League, and caretaker boss Roberto di Matteo guided the Blues to the FA Cup - where they beat Liverpool in the final - and the Champions League final.

Wigan boss Roberto Martinez - who is reportedly a target of Aston Villa - is 4-1 and former Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez and Swansea manager Brendan Rodgers are both 7-1.

Michael Owen has revealed he will be leaving Manchester United after the club decided not to offer him a new contract.

The 32-year-old's deal expires this summer and he will be available on a free transfer after three years at Old Trafford.

Owen has not featured for United since November due to a thigh injury, with the former Liverpool and Newcastle man only making four appearances all season.

The striker scored three goals in those four appearances, with the goals coming in the Carling Cup victories over Leeds and Aldershot.

Owen revealed he was informed of the decision after this week's testomonial match for former United hero Harry Gregg - and he admits he loved his spell at Old Trafford.

Owen wrote on Twitter said: "The Manager informed me after our testimonial match on Tuesday that the club would not be offering me a new contract.

"I have loved every minute of the 3 years I have spent at such a fantastic club.

"I now plan to have a short holiday during which I will contemplate my next move."

The highlight of his time at United was his injury-time winner in a pulsating 4-3 derby win over Manchester City in September 2009, a goal which warmed sceptical fans to him given his Liverpool connections.

He also struck in the 2010 Carling Cup final win over Aston Villa but was forced off injured later in that game and any hopes of an international recall in time for the World Cup were ended.

Owen scored 40 goals in 89 appearances for England but has not played internationally for four years.

His announcement will lead to speculation that he may now retire but, even while sidelined, he has never indicated that he is considering that option.

Owen burst onto the scene as a precocious teenager with Liverpool in 1997 and went on to make a huge impact at the following year's World Cup.

He left Anfield for Real Madrid in 2004 but spent only one season in Spain before returning to the Premier League.

Liverpool were interested in re-signing him but balked at Real's valuation and he opted for Newcastle.

His spell on Tyneside was also ravaged by injuries and his move to Old Trafford, when out of contract, came as a surprise but he accepted a role as a squad player under Sir Alex Ferguson.

Statistically, Owen's contribution to United amounted to 17 goals in 52 appearances over his three seasons.

United confirmed the news on their website in a statement which added: "Manchester United thanks Michael for his contribution and wishes him well for the future."

We are also not interested in a links exchange. It complicates things when you check the ratio and start moaning. We don't do brand awareness, we won't stop saying cunt on the site and thus you would link to a site that breaks your terms of service. We refuse to change and thus we have to refuse all links exchange offers.

We also are not going to run your ads. Not on the non-existent sidebar, not as a forum bot user and not in the middle of threads. We simply do not want to see ads spammed all over the place. Not in threads, not on profiles, not in signatures and not anywhere else.

We like this place the way it is. No rules, no spam., no ads, no intrusive design, no lag loading the pages and thus no wasting either your or our time. QPR will conduct an internal investigation into Joey Barton's dismissal against Manchester City and his subsequent conduct.

Barton, 29, is facing two Football Association charges of alleged violent conduct following his red card at the Etihad Stadium, which was his second sending-off of the season.

The QPR captain was dismissed for elbowing Carlos Tevez and then followed two alleged incidents involving Sergio Aguero and Vincent Kompany.

A club statement said: "Queens Park Rangers Football Club can confirm that a full investigation in relation to Joey Barton's dismissal and subsequent events against Manchester City on Sunday will be carried out following the conclusion of his FA hearing.

"The club will be making no further comment at this stage."

Barton had until midday to respond to the charges after being granted an extension by the FA.

Carlos Tevez appears to have no intention of apologising to Sir Alex Ferguson after holding a banner mocking the Manchester United manager.

Manchester City striker Tevez displayed a sign bearing the words 'RIP Fergie' during the open-top bus parade through Manchester to celebrate City's Premier League title win on Monday.

The meaning behind the banner could well be in reference to Ferguson's famous response to a 2009 question as to whether or not United would ever be underdogs against City.

"Not in my lifetime," the Scot said.

City were quick to issue a statement on Monday expressing "sincerest apologies" to Ferguson and accepting that Tevez, in taking the placard from a fan, had made a "significant error of judgement".

Tevez himself expressed regret in his own statement, saying he got "carried away in the excitement of the moment" and did not mean any disrespect to his former United boss.

But on arriving back in his native Argentina for his summer break, Tevez was quizzed on the issue by reporters.

The 28-year-old told them, in an interview carried on Argentinian website www.ole.com.ar: "It seems like Ferguson is the president of England.

"Every time he speaks badly about a player or says terrible things about me, nobody says that he has to apologise.

"[But] when someone comes out with a joke or banter, you have to say sorry - but I don't say sorry."

Tevez played under Ferguson for two years at Old Trafford before leaving for City in 2009.

In March Ferguson suggested City were desperate in recalling Tevez following the forward's infamous stand-off with the club, which saw him spend more than three months in Argentina on unauthorised leave.

Ferguson was responding to remarks by City's football development executive Patrick Vieira, who said Paul Scholes' return from retirement for United seemed a sign of weakness.

Roy explains Rio & JT decisions

England coach Roy Hodgson insists he omitted Rio Ferdinand from his Euro 2012 squad for "footballing reasons".

John Terry was selected despite the July court case awaiting him regarding allegations that he racially abused QPR defender Anton Ferdinand, which Terry denies.

Ferdinand's elder brother Rio being left out of the squad will help to avoid any tension that could have stemmed from the pair sharing a dressing room in Poland and Ukraine.

The impending court case also saw Terry stripped of the captaincy by the Football Association, a decision which saw Fabio Capello resign his post and Hodgson eventually succeed him. Liverpool midfielder Steven Gerrard will captain England this summer.

Hodgson said: "If we take the court case first of all, that's obviously very unfortunate for him but we must emphasise he is an innocent man until such time as he is proven guilty.

"My decision with John Terry was based purely on footballing matters, I was given a free hand as to the squad I picked.

"I realised that when I selected him there would be people who would raise eyebrows but that's the decision that I've made, that's the decision I shall live with."

He continued: "I selected John Terry for footballing reasons and I left out Rio Ferdinand for footballing reasons.

"I've spoken to both of them of course. I had to do that.

"In the last couple of days I've spoken to both of them and explained to them why I've come to the decision."

Terry led Chelsea to FA Cup success and helped them reach the Champions League final as they rebuilt their season under interim manager Roberto Di Matteo.

The defender will be suspended for the latter showpiece after he was sent off in the semi-final second leg for an off-the-ball clash with Barcelona forward Alexis Sanchez.

Hodgson said: "I believe John Terry, especially in the latter part of the season, has played very well.

"I know you'll say he shouldn't have done what did in Barcelona but I'm looking over a longer period that that.

"I think he's played well, I think he played an important part in Chelsea's FA Cup final victory, an important part in their reaching the Champions League final and so therefore I selected him because I think he's the man for job. I'm hoping and believing that he will help us win matches."

Hodgson said Ferdinand had taken his omission in a "gracious" manner. "He was obviously disappointed. I'd be surprised had he not been," Hodgson said.

"He was very gracious and he wished myself and the team the very best of luck in the tournament."

He stressed he had no doubts over Ferdinand's ability to get through a tournament on a physical basis.

"I had a private conversation with Sir Alex (Ferguson) 10 days ago," Hodgson said.

"I think Rio has done exceptionally well this year. He's played a lot of matches through injury.

"He's got himself on the field of play when many a player wouldn't have done so.

"I'm also wary of that because I know there have been times in the season where Rio has played three matches in a week.

"I would be lying if that [the ability to play matches close together] was the major reason for not selecting him.

"It was purely on other footballing reasons.

"I admire Rio Ferdinand as a player.

"I think he's a fine footballer and I respect him, but I had to pick a squad with defenders I wanted to take to the Euros."

Hodgson said Ferdinand's lack of recent international action had been a major factor.

"One game in the last year and only three games since 2010," Hodgson said.

"Having taken over the squad, I've been very conscious of the fact I'm to some extent being parachuted in to take charge of a Capello squad which has qualified for this tournament.

"I wanted to, at least where I can, remain faithful to the players who got us there."

Hodgson is confident Terry's court case will not be a distraction.

"No, he's had that court case hanging over him and it's not distracted him in lifting the FA Cup and helping his team reach a Champions League final," Hodgson said.

"I know how committed he is to England.

"I don't think anyone has any cause to doubt his desire and his commitment to England and his pride in playing for England."

Hodgson raised various points in a private conversation with Terry, and said: "He assured me I need have no fears or worries over any of my issues."

Arsenal's Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Norwich goalkeeper John Ruddy were the two uncapped players to get Hodgson's vote.

The England boss believes attacking midfielder Oxlade-Chamberlain, 18, can be an ace in the pack for the national team.

"He's a very, very exciting player," Hodgson said.

"He's given one or two performances which have made quite an impression upon me, not least when Arsenal played Milan at the Emirates Stadium. I was there and saw how well he dealt with (Andrea) Pirlo and (Massimo) Ambrosini at the centre of midfield.

"The fact he is that type of player who can play wide or central also affected my decision as well, as well as that for the future he's one we're going to be seeing a lot of if he can continue as he started."

Liverpool's Andy Carroll was named as one of four striking options and Hodgson admitted he had liaised with Reds boss Kenny Dalglish over the sometimes controversial frontman.

Capello instructed the former Newcastle player to curb his drinking habits after a number of off-field incidents, which at one point saw him bailed by police on assault charges on condition that he lived with captain Kevin Nolan.

He was also among three players sent home from an England Under-19 squad in October 2007 for breaking a curfew but Hodgson was reassured by what his Anfield successor had to say.

"I spoke to Kenny at some length about him because I don't know him particularly well as a person and one can easily be tricked by perceptions of players and what you hear or read about them," he said.

"Kenny was absolutely convinced about the player's ability and his personality and his seriousness as a professional and when I heard that, I had no further reservations.

"He is a different type of player to the others in the squad. He has that ability to hold the ball up, he has that aerial ability which is very useful, but he also has the ability to make runs behind defenders and use his strength and his power."

Kagawa confirms United talks

Borussia Dortmund star Shinji Kagawa has confirmed he has held talks with Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

The Japan international rejected the offer of a new contract with Dortmund as he sets his sights on a move to the Premier League.

And the Red Devils appear to the head the queue for the midfielder's signature after he exchanged "good words" with Ferguson during a two-hour meeting.

"It was good that I was able to meet him in person and talk," Kagawa told reporters on his return to Japan to prepare for the international friendly against Azerbaijan.

"I want to think hard before making my decision. I want a team where I can take on challenges."

The 23-year-old, who is expected to command a fee in the region of �10m, has also been linked with Chelsea, Arsenal and AC Milan.

Agent: Yaya open to offers

Yaya Toure's agent claims the Manchester City midfielder would be willing to listen to offers this summer and wants Barcelona to make a move.

The Ivory Coast international spent three years at Camp Nou between 2007 and 2010, prior to agreeing a big-money switch to City.

He has enjoyed two successful seasons in England, picking up FA Cup and Premier League winners' medals.

Toure's representative claims the 29-year-old is now in need of 'new motivations' and could be lured away from the Etihad Stadium.

Dimitri Seluk has hinted that a return to Barcelona could be a possibility, while he has suggested that approaches from Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid would be considered.

"He has done all he can do at City and he needs new motivations," Seluk said in The Sun.

"Toure could sign for many big clubs like Chelsea and Bayern Munich. Also, we would like to see Barca join the race."

He added: "I have not spoken to Barca but they know the situation.

"I do not know if Madrid are interested but Jose Mourinho has liked him since he was at Chelsea."

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain said his call-up to the England squad for Euro 2012 felt "surreal", but he is ready to seize his chance this summer.

The 18-year-old was included in England manager Roy Hodgson's 23-strong squad for next month's European Championships after impressing during his debut season at Arsenal.

Oxlade-Chamberlain joined the London club from npower Championship side Southampton last summer, and his inclusion in Hodgson's plans is the culmination of a season which saw him put himself on the map in both the Barclays Premier League and Champions League.

"I'm obviously delighted," Oxlade-Chamberlain told Arsenal.com.

"To be picked for your country at any stage is a massive honour and to be at a huge tournament likes the Euros is such a bonus.

"I would have probably laughed if someone had told me I would be in the Euro 2012 a year ago.

"Obviously you would like to think that and it is what you aim towards but sometimes you have to be realistic and realise it might take a little bit longer than that.

"So for everything to happen as quickly as it has, it has been surreal and I don't think it has really sunk in properly yet.

"I know I haven't made it and I have a long way to go but this is the first step in what I hope to be a long and successful international career."

The winger, who has also played at under-21 level this season, admitted the call from Hodgson came as a surprise, but he is determined to make an impact during the competition and win his first senior England cap.

"I got a call this [Wednesday] morning from the manager and he just explained it to me then - that was about two hours before it was announced," Oxlade-Chamberlain said.

"He said it was down to merit and I just have to prove him right.

"I am just looking forward to going there, learning from all the experienced players, training with them and trying my hand at everything. I am absolutely buzzing.

"I will just try and make things happen, although I know there are other players who can do that. It will just be nice to get the opportunity and I will see what I can do.

"I think I play with no fear, I run at players regardless of who they are and try to make a difference. I have a youthful enthusiasm and I am so excited about this that I will try and take any opportunity with both hands.

"It is a good opportunity for me to go and learn from everyone and if I do get a chance, work as hard as I can to make an impression and prove myself."

England squad announced

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and John Terry have both been called into England's squad for Euro 2012, while there is no place for Rio Ferdinand.

As had been widely reported, the Manchester United defender's name was missing from Roy Hodgson's 23-man squad when it was unveiled by the Football Association.

Ferdinand's long-time central defensive partner Terry was included, which will force Hodgson on to the back foot when he speaks to the media at 2pm.

Hodgson sprang a couple of surprises, handing Arsenal teenager Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Norwich keeper John Ruddy their first call-ups.

Birmingham keeper Jack Butland was among the list of five standby players, which also included Adam Johnson, Daniel Sturridge, Phil Jagielka and Jordan Henderson.

No captain was listed on the official squad list, although midfield trio Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard and Scott Parker are amongst the obvious candidates.

As expected, Liverpool's Andy Carroll has squeezed in thanks to his late season form surge.

He is joined in the striking department by Danny Welbeck and Jermain Defoe, who has not started a competitive game for England since September 2010.

Hodgson had already indicated he would take Wayne Rooney, even though the Manchester United striker is suspended for the first two games of the tournament.

By leaving Ferdinand out of the squad Hodgson has avoided any possible tension between the Manchester United defender and Terry.

The Chelsea man is due to appear in court in July to answer allegations he racially abused Ferdinand's brother Anton. Terry denies the charge.

Manchester United midfielders Paul Scholes and Michael Carrick both missed out and Theo Walcott, Stewart Downing and Ashley Young were handed wide berths in addition to Oxlade-Chamberlain.

The 18-year-old has started just six Premier League games for Arsenal and interim manager Stuart Pearce opted against bringing the winger into his squad for the February friendly with Holland.

However, he has taken advantage of Adam Johnson's failure to cement a place in Manchester City's drive for the title.

It means, barring injury, Johnson misses out for a second time, having also been axed from Fabio Capello's provisional World Cup squad two years ago.

As also had been widely touted, Micah Richards was not included, with Hodgson electing to select only seven orthodox defenders, including Phil Jones and Joleon Lescott, who are both capable of filling more than one position.

The omission of Ferdinand remains the biggest talking point though. On Friday, Sir Alex Ferguson did suggest the 33-year-old was not capable of playing two matches in four days, which might have played a part in Hodgson's eventual decision.

Ferdinand has been a regular for United this season though and was fit enough to play 45 minutes in last night's testimonial match for Harry Gregg in Belfast.

The defender had made himself available despite the obvious potential for conflict with Terry.

Ferdinand is known to be unimpressed with today's news though, which is likely to mark the end of his 81-cap England career and mean he will never have appeared at a European Championships.

He was not selected in 2000, missed out through suspension four years later and was part of an England squad that failed to qualify for Euro 2008 under Steve McClaren.

England have also revised their plans for next week, with Hodgson scrapping a planned training camp in Spain.

Instead, the Three Lions will meet up in Manchester on Wednesday evening before flying to Norway on Friday for their friendly in Oslo.

Seven days after that, England face Belgium at Wembley - although Ruddy will be missing, having been given special dispensation to leave the squad by Hodgson as he will get married on June 2.

Dalglish sacked by Reds - Report

Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has been sacked, according to reports on Wednesday afternoon.

Rumours concerning his future have been circulating for the past few days and the club are to hold a press conference at 5pm on Wednesday.

Although the Reds won this season's Carling Cup, and also reached the FA Cup final, their Premier League form has been extremely disappointing.

The Reds finished eighth in the table - four points behind neighbours Everton - losing 14 games in the process.

Reports have circulated that the Anfield legend could be set to leave the Reds after a disappointing campaign in the Premier League but the club refuse to speak

Despite winning the League Cup in February and reaching the FA Cup final, the Reds' eighth-place Premier League finish was their lowest in 18 years, and their overall points total of 52 was their lowest since 1954.

The club's American owners are eager to challenge for top honours, with a Premier League title as well as a return to the Champions League being their highest priority.

Dalglish flew to the States with assistant manager Steve Clarke to discuss future plans and several reports had suggested that the Scot had decided to quit after a season-and-a-half back in charge.

Recently, an internal re-structuring at Anfield saw the exit of director of football, Damien Comolli along with other senior staff.

Reports suggest that Wigan's Roberto Martinez is a target for the Anfield board if Dalglish does indeed leave his post.

The Red Devils chief executive claims the club are not being left behind by the spending power of Manchester City, and highlighted the up-coming Financial Fair Play sanctions

United are likely to be active over the summer as they look to build a side which can wrestle the title back from City�s grasp, with Borussia Dortmund duo Shinji Kagawa and Robert Lewandowski reportedly on their radar.

The colossal wealth at Roberto Mancini�s disposal allowed him to clinch the signing of Samir Nasri from under Sir Alex Ferguson�s nose last summer, while Lille starlet Eden Hazard is believed to favour a move to the Etihad Stadium over Old Trafford.

Gill, however, has dismissed suggestions that the club can no longer compete, telling MUTV: "Funds are available without a doubt. We can still pay very well in terms of wages and transfer fees.

"Clearly City have raised the bar. We have seen that with what they are prepared to pay for players and to them.

"But we need to move on. Financial Fair Play is just around the corner.

"It is a flagship programme for Michel Platini and how that is implemented and the sanctions that are imposed are going to be interesting."

Celtic Nations triple bid for Euro 2020

The Scottish, Welsh and Irish Football Associations have allegedly notified Uefa that they wish to compete with Turkey in a joint bid to host European Championships in 2020

With the deadline for formal expressions of interest set at midnight on Tuesday, the three countries have reportedly told Uefa that they would be interested in hosting the European Championships on a three-way basis. As it stands, Turkey are the only other nation to have put forward a formal bid to host the tournament.

Scottish and Welsh FA officials have refused to confirm or deny that a bid will be put forward, although the newspaper reports that that talks have taken place with a final decision expected to be taken on Tuesday.

The involvement of Ireland was not initially expected, but with the expansion of the competition to 24 teams a third country is said to be necessary to provide the 10 top-class stadiums that would be required.

A source close to Uefa is reported to have said: "Discussions have taken place about bidding but we would not be able to bid alone. It may need to be three countries involved."

The chief executive of the Scottish Football Association, Stewart Regan, also confirmed that discussions had taken place.

"I'm not able to comment publicly at this stage because it has not gone to our board but there will be an exchange of correspondence before the deadline. It�s obviously something that has been discussed," Regan told www.insidethegame.biz.

When probed whether or not Scotland and Wales would be able to meet Uefa�s criteria for stadia, Regan replied, "There are other ways of skinning a cat and alternative ways of being considered for a major tournament."

Uefa president Michel Platini has previously been quoted as saying that he would support Turkey�s bid, but only if Istanbul were to fail to land the Olympics in the same year � a decision that will be made in September 2013.

Fergie and Giggs are Prem's best

Manchester United's Sir Alex Ferguson and Ryan Giggs have been awarded two prestigious honours for their dominance of the Premier League.

Ferguson was named the best manager in the Premier League's 20-year history and Giggs won the best player award at a ceremony in central London on Tuesday.

Ferguson, the victim of a taunt by City striker Carlos Tevez during the Blues' title-winning parade in Manchester on Monday, was not in London on Tuesday. Chief executive David Gill picked up the award on his behalf.

Giggs did receive his award, which was given to him after he beat off competition from the likes of Thierry Henry, Paul Scholes and Dennis Bergkamp to clinch the vote from a panel of experts.

The Welshman has made 909 appearances for United and is the most decorated player in the English game while Ferguson has won 12 Premier League titles since he took over the Lancashire club in 1986.

Former Manchester United team-mate Gary Neville said of Giggs: "Ryan Giggs will go down as the most successful British footballer of all time and I cannot see anyone ever overtaking him.

"He has surpassed all records in terms of domestic titles and he has incredible desire, quality and spirit. He's just fantastic to watch every single week."

Ferguson pipped Arsene Wenger, Jose Mourinho, Harry Redknapp and David Moyes to the manager's award.

Record Premier League goalscorer Alan Shearer said of the Scot: "How he's achieved what he has done over the past 20 years I think is absolutely incredible, so we all have to stand up, salute, admire and congratulate him."

Shearer received an award for the most Premier League goals (260) while David James received a prize for the most Premier League clean sheets (173).

Don't you just hate lag. It is the bane of the internet. When something just does not work or there is a time delay. It might only be a few seconds but in a live moment, it is fucking awful.

Don't you just hate idiots on the net who are unable to formulate a debate without sounding like an idiot. Such people exist in all corners of the internet.

The funniest ones are the ones who pull out the race card if you say something like mail order bride and they immediately assume it to be a different ethnicity. I mean guys who resort to buying a bride off the net are tragic enough without the added ridicule.

One bad thing about the net is old people who have not learned a thing from life. There is a granny like that out there who ignores her children and grandchildren really but pretends to be a doting mother and grandparent. She is neither. She is just a self-absorbed arrogant monster who tries to bully people online. She even pretends to be her son which is rather weird.

I often question the self-esteem of anyone who pays thousands of pounds or dollars to go through the trouble of obtaining a license to carry a gun. Then go around pointing it at people citing some legal shit. A real man uses his brain in confrontation and fists if it gets physical.

I suppose those guys often come up short in other areas. They are the types to do the mail order bride thing. They normally end up beating them and strangling them eventually. Aside from the mail order brides that look like a man, the weird thing is in pictures they never really look happy. Like the smile was forced and that they dreamed of moving to another country to be an independent woman. Not a gloried legal whore was paid to fuck, suck and live in holy matrimony.

I suppose we could end it here. A few mongs were tamed today. They ought to learn from it.

Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed veteran midfielder Paul Scholes has signed a one-year contract extension with Manchester United.

After abandoning his retirement in January, there had been some speculation that the 37-year-old was deliberating whether to extend his career by an additional season.

However, speaking at this evening's Manchester United Player of the Year dinner, Ferguson told MUTV: "It has been done. He is staying."

Ferguson does believe this will be Scholes' last season in a United shirt and will be wary of the midfielder being selected in Roy Hodgson's Euro 2012 squad, as has been suggested.

No one would have thought we could top the finish to the Premier League last year with the epic relegation battle but today we saw an epic finale at both ends of the table. The top of the league changing back and forth with the relegation zone changing right up until the end of the game.

The great thing about the Premier League is that while the best teams are near the top, there is always an underdog springing up somewhere and a top team underachieving.

It does not happen in some of the other European leagues. The same order can be seen time after time.

It comes down not just to diving or individual quality but the way the game flows in England. You are allowed to tackle properly and the lesser talented players can make up for not being godly with skills by being strong and fast.

Sure money dictates where the best players go but once again, fan of the Premier League were given a final day to look back on for many years to come.

I guess finally we should end on an epic song that should not be used for any football team such is the legacy and brilliance of this song but it is going up anyway.

Formula One is supposed to be the pinnacle of motor sport. The bragging rights come from having cars so technically advanced that they make all other forms of motor sport look slow.

Champ Cars/Indy can do a higher top speed but only because of less aerodynamic parts. An F1 car would murder it if F1 cars had to run on an oval type of track. Same with NASCAR. F1 is just much quicker.

That is the appeal of F1. The best drivers, engineers and teams all in one place.

There are two problems with F1 right now. One is the best tracks losing their place on the calendar to richer countries with shit tracks. That is the Bernie effect.

The other problem is much bigger. It is the FIA who are ruining F1. They make stupid rules that benefit one team. Then change it when it is boring. They do anything they can to make arse kissing teams have an advantage.

Their biggest problem is they hate McLaren. They also hate Lewis Hamilton. A black guy is not allowed to be the best in a rich white mans sport. It does not matter that he is the only guy who could overtake during the processional races a couple of years ago. They still hate him.

They hate the fact he came in and matched the double World Champion who retired their hero Schumacher. They hate the fact he has a hot pop star girlfriend. They hate the fact he is adored by so many passionate fans who rate him as one of the best in the business.

They no doubt hate the fact Lewis Hamilton can get a crap car and do something special with it. Others moan about understeer, oversteer, this or that but Lewis Hamilton just gets on with it.

Jealousy can make silly people rather corrupt in any political environment and today shows the FIA once again being as corrupt as they can for the people who kiss their arses.

You can always see the strength of unity when an argument breaks out. It might be a relationship or it might be a team or any argument that threatens to blow a partnership apart.

The unity is always decided by the breaking point. Many couples have argued over the years and been together for decades. Many split in the first month.

The same unity is especially tested online and one such situation is with gaming clans. Arguments will always break out especially when it comes to an online team game. You put a bunch of competitive people in one place and the shit will hit the fan at times.

It is easy to forget at times that pretty much every clan player is a good gamer. There are some exceptions but when it comes to a team game, you seldom have a weak link. Good gamers have high standards and when those standards are not met, a war can break out.

We have seen it loads over the years. We saw it in 2006 and 2007 with the implosion of every other cat and mouse team. We saw it all throughout the past decade with pretty much every other racing team. The ego took over and destroyed them all.

I say that yet we sit here now as UsR having gone through near on six years of what has been at times all our war without ever losing the team ethic that is everything UsR stands for.

That is amazing. Well done all of you. Nothing I can can possibly summarise it all other than this is the best team around, the best team site and it is full of the best people we would ever wish for.

Binary Domain (Xbox 360): Amazon.co.uk: PC &...The game is like gears of war and pretty much uses same mechanics but the horde is replaced by robots akin to those in terminator but this just adds to the fun as you can take the legs out and the crawl to you, shoot the gun arm off and they will pick the gun up with working arm. or you can shoot head off and they will attack others for you .Some of the boss battle are epic as they on average fill the screen as are the set pieces. few things let it down but this dont detract from what is ggood game
graphics are good but not as good as gears, story is good revolving around robots that look like humans and corruption. im prob about 4 hours in and really enjoying it
so far 8/10 from me

We all have an idea in life of what we win at and what we lose at. With a loss, we are more relaxed because of the non-expectant mentality towards losing. It might be not bothering to apply for that 100k a year job because you feel unworthy or not asking that cute person out you fancy because they are out of your league.

It might even be gaming where you accept a shocking lap time in a game because you don't think you can take top spot or where you accept a shocking kill:death ratio in a shooter because you know you are no good at it.

That is the easy part really. If you suck, you expected to suck and thus you just get on with it. No worrying about someone earning more, dating the person you wanted or being bottom of that leaderboard.

Winning is another beast altogether. When you deem yourself a winner at something, losing is unfathomable. It is alien. It not only makes you mad but it hurts you inside. Not getting that job you are sure you had and then seeing it go to what you deem a lesser winner than yourself would burn.

That hot person saying no to a date destroys the confidence in you. Why not? How dare they? Is it me or is it them? All these questions go around in your head.

And then we come to gaming. When you believe you are the best at a game, it is not like a social situation. Suddenly nothing outside that television screen matters. You have to win. Each and every time, no loss is tolerated.

It does not even matter if you are not the quickest driver, you still think you are when you believe you are the winner.

It is always worse in a team game full of winners. The loss amplifies around the team. It was not just your loss but their loss. The team that wins together can often be seen to lose individually and that is no good for any team. It is worth noting that during any loss, the team must remain a team with no hint of blame in order to live for another day of winning. That is the vicious side to the cycle of winning.

What really makes a true winner though is their ability to lose with dignity. No crying, no blaming, no temper. Just the ability to pick themselves up and live to win another day. Sure disappointment looms at times and no one likes losing but even the truest winner knows that some day, you will lose something.

A true winner will just go and win back what they lost. That is the winning side to the cycle of winner. No one wins all the times but the real winners win far more than they ever lose.

Xbox and Windows 7 ban in Germany

Motorola Mobility has been granted an injunction against the distribution of key Microsoft products in Germany.

The sales ban covers the Xbox 360 games console, Windows 7 system software, Internet Explorer and Windows Media Player.

It follows a ruling that Microsoft had infringed two patents necessary to offer H.264 video coding and playback.

A US court has banned Motorola from enforcing the action until it considers the matter next week.

The handset maker is in the process of being taken over by Google.

Appeal

This is just one of several cases involving about 50 intellectual properties that the smartphone maker has claimed that Microsoft should have licensed.

Microsoft has said that if it met all of Motorola's demands it would face an annual bill of $4bn (�2.5bn). Motorola disputes the figure.

A statement from Motorola said: "We are pleased that the Mannheim Court found that Microsoft products infringe Motorola Mobility's intellectual property. As a path forward, we remain open to resolving this matter. Fair compensation is all that we have been seeking for our intellectual property."

Microsoft said it planned to appeal against the German ruling.

"This is one step in a long process, and we are confident that Motorola will eventually be held to its promise to make its standard essential patents available on fair and reasonable terms for the benefit of consumers who enjoy video on the web," a spokesman said.

"Motorola is prohibited from acting on today's decision, and our business in Germany will continue as usual while we appeal this decision and pursue the fundamental issue of Motorola's broken promise."

US hearing

Microsoft moved its European software distribution centre from Germany to the Netherlands last month ahead of the verdict to minimise potential disruption.

However, Motorola cannot enforce the ruling until a Seattle-based judge lifts a restraining order.

The restriction was put in place after Microsoft claimed that Motorola was abusing its Frand-commitments - a promise to licence innovations deemed critical to widely-used technologies under "fair, reasonable and non-discriminatory" terms.

A hearing is scheduled for 7 May, although the judge may issue his ruling at a later date.

The German case is also likely to be considered by the European Commission.

It is carrying out two probes into whether Motorola's Frand-type patent activities amount to "an abuse of a dominant market position

Surprising' SquareEnix game reveal today

A 'surprising' Square Enix game reveal is set to happen at some point today on site Siliconera , it's teased.

"I can't say anymore for the moment other than this will be a Siliconera exclusive and the game will surprise you," the site states.

Earlier this year, Square Enix trademarked 'Drakerider' and 'Blood of Chaos' in Europe, possibly hinting at more new projects.

Given the developer and publisher's penchant for RPGs, we're guessing this will be one of those.

I've worked out the following.

With a freeview box, a subscription of Netflix �5.99 a month, use DNS service like UnoTelly $5 a month so i can use the U.S Netflix, �80 a year for the newsgroup i use and �40 a year for Flashsportstreams.

This is roughly �227 a year give or take a dollar.

The average sky subscription is �30 a month (that is to get anything decent)

This works out to �360 a year for an okay package.

Now i just purchased a smart t.v. I can stream pretty much any format to it. Netflix, freeview, iPlayer my films on my network hard drive. I can pretty much get any content i want using my above subscriptions and further more get more content than sky or virgin can offer for �133 less a year.

Pretty much anyone with an xbox or PS3 can do the same.

Sauber F1 do Chelsea FC deal

Sauber's cars will sport the blue logo of Champions League finalists Chelsea from next week's Spanish Grand Prix as part of a deal between the Swiss-based Formula One team and the Premier League club.

"A partnership like this between Formula One and football has never existed before in this form, yet there are numerous commonalities and possible synergies," said Sauber Chief Executive Monisha Kaltenborn in a statement.

"The Sauber F1 Team and Chelsea FC are dealing with many of the same sporting and commercial topics and we want to strengthen each other in these areas."

Sauber had the mysterious inscriptions "out of the Blue" and "True Blue" on the engine covers of their cars in the last two races in China and Bahrain without saying what the words signified.

The Ferrari-powered team said that, in concrete terms, the partnership would include the sale of merchandise and the exchange of sports science know-how.

Both sides will feature the other's logo with the aim of increasing their market presence outside their respective sports.

Chelsea, currently managed by Swiss-born Italian Roberto Di Matteo, will present the Sauber logo at home matches on advertising boards at the stadium and on interview walls.

"Conversely, the football club benefits from Formula One's television reach which, compared with the Premier League, is much higher and more international," said Sauber.

"Particularly in Asia, Formula One enjoys enormous TV presence and, not least thanks to Sergio Perez, is currently captivating more and more fans in Latin America as well."

Sauber's two drivers are Mexican Perez and Japan's Kamui Kobayashi.
Chelsea Chief Executive Ron Gourlay said Sauber, as the fourth oldest team on the starting grid, reflected Chelsea's ideals.

"In a year when Chelsea celebrates 20 seasons as a Premier League team, Sauber does so as a Formula One team," he said.

"We share many philosophies when it comes to how the respective organisations are run, from the development of young talent to constantly striving for success.

"This partnership will benefit us both greatly, with the potential to create unique commercial opportunities," he added. "It is a shared vision to unite the two most attractive sports in the world."

It is a while since everyone on here was gaming so you guys need to get some games.

A lot of people think FIFA is the only game to play to play with the most active users around here. Not true. FIFA is a bit elitist in the sense if you are not good you are not in the team.

Everyone get The Orange Box and play Team Fortress. It is the most fun shooter out on the 360.

Lastly, acquire Trial Evolution. It allows four people to compete on the screen at the same time and is quite frankly the best arcade game out right now. It costs 1,200 Microsoft points and is worth a lot more in my opinion.

It is a motorbike game but one that will have you competing against your entire friends list at any given time.

Just go and get it. The trial is out there to try but the full game rocks. Don't miss out, you guys already miss out on far too much in the gaming world.

Let me know if you got Trials Evolution and add me. I will try to beat your times once I stop being so shit at the game :)

I am back

So a week in sunny Portugal has passed and I am home. Fuck sake. No post holiday blues though. It is almost 2am and for the first time in over a week, I am sober at this time.

I am not however sitting warmly in shorts surrounded by women who are gorgeous. I am home surrounded by gorgeous women but the weather is shit. It is raining.

Bebop was a god send while I was gone. She stepped up to write the blog and proved what an asset to the site she is.

Gunner moderated as well as ever and helped keep you cunts in line.

We all now want to see a blog write-off between PS3 and Bebop. That would be epic and I think it would entertain us all.

Relentless, Rectal and Twisted no doubt would all fancy a blog write-off against PS3 too.

Still one thing about being home aside being back on here is that I have my own bed back and not the silly hotel one. So on that bombshell, good night :)

Last weekend World Superbike went to Assen and found some really tricky conditions. Anyone that is at all interested in motorcycle roadracing should watch the highlights. If not just go to 2:25 to see the 2011 Irish Motorcyclist of the year Jonathon Rea pull off an amazing save, he goes on to win race two but not this one. This race started out dry with everyone on slicks but it soon started to sprinkle and the circuit got really slippy. Anyway I think it makes for good watching.

Guardiola to quit Barcelona

Sky Sports sources understand that Pep Guardiola has told Barcelona he will leave the club at the end of the season.

The Barcelona boss has guided the Catalan giants to two UEFA Champions League titles in his four seasons with the club as well as a host of other trophies.

But the former Barca star's future has been a source of constant of speculation for months and the 41-year-old is understood to have finally confirmed he intends to bring his time at the club to an end.

A joint press conference will be held by Guardiola and Barcelona president Sandro Rosell on Friday morning at 11am.

The decision follows Barcelona's sensational exit from the Champions League at the hands of Chelseain Tuesday's semi-final.

Sky Sports' Spanish football expert Guillem Balague believes Guardiola could be planning to try his luck as a manager in the Premier League before long.

Balague told Sky Sports: "He has the urge to coach in another place. He wants to come to the Premier League.

"He couldn't make it here as a player. He was close to joining Wigan at one point I believe. Manchester United wanted him at some point, Liverpool and Spurs, but it didn't happen.

"And as a manager he wants to prove himself in the Premier League."

Guardiola's potential arrival in England would raise the possibility of some of Barcelona's famous players linking up with him in the Premier League.

And while Balague does not rule out the prospect, he believes a fresh voice may be what his current players need.

Asked about the chance of Barca's superstars coming to England, Balague said: "It's a good point because they are very close to him; they've grown to be better players with him.

"But at the same time, four years with the same manager, seeing the same face, you wonder if that is one of the reasons Guardiola, if he decides to leave, will leave."

And Balague notes there has already been speculation as to who will replace Guardiola as Barcelona manager next season.

"We have got four names that have been mentioned," he added. "Four names that are very much liked by president Sandro Rosell and the director of football Andoni Zubizarreta."

The four managers that have been earmarked are believed to include Athletic Bilbao's maverick Argentine coach Marcelo Bielsa and ex-Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas.

The two names making up the list of candidates are both former Barcelona players - France boss Laurent Blanc and Ernesto Valverde, who quit as Olympiakos manager last week.

The options are believed to have already been lined up as a contingency plan should Guardiola decide upon a sabbatical.

There is something great about being a real football fan. I don't mean the
armchair Premiership supporter living 500 miles away from the ground or
the glory hunter supporting whichever team happens to win that year.

I mean those who slum it on a late train 300 miles on a cold wet day to
watch their low paid low position team play.

Supporting a lower league club is amazing. You get to meet the players
face to face. You eat from burger vans outside the ground.

Not a TV camera in sight some days. No trip to a European competition ever
looking likely. Never appearing on Match of the Day. No mention in the
papers let alone a backpage main article.

None of your players are international players. The best up and comers are
stolen before they get their name in the folklore. You look them up years
later and smile knowing they started their trade with you.

Where making a televised FA Cup draw to meet a Premiership team away is
the absolute goldmine and equvilent of winning the World Cup.

Something most people who watch football will never understand. They true
joys of football is being a football fan who keeps it real.

Come on, why are you not out partying? I am. This blog is pre-written
and being posted by someone in another time zone who will also party.

Saturday is the night when everyone comes out to play. Contrary to
popular belief, it is THE party night of the week and not Friday. Friday
is more of a go to work, have a drink after work and hit the clubs in
3rd gear.

Saturday is a lay in, get up for a fry up, watch the sport in the pub
and then start partying.

Never mind the meeting up for a quick half a pint. If you are not
totally on it for at least 12 hours at some point in your life, you are
missing out.

If you are on the pull, you can learn a lot about someone chatting them
up for hours. You are almost a great friend to them before closing time
and the best part is yet to come!!

You do not have to drink alcohol but it is nice. It loosens everyone up,
tastes nice no matter what Gunner says about the taste and it gives us
all a fake boost of confidence that we all can do with from time to time.
