How did UsR start?
We decided to set up a racing clan in May 2006. We discovered a new type of cat and mouse with two teams of four. Some of us were used to the four teams of two found in PGR2 but nevertheless, we got hooked on the new two team mode and the rest is history.
What does UsR mean?
It means Unique Specialists Racers. We still race. We play all games. The name just stuck with us from day one. Ironically the word racers is quite fitting given even in shooting games, the race is first to the bomb, first to shoot the other guys, first to the top of the rankings.
Why the small s in UsR?
It looked different. We liked it and it just stayed that way. There have been many like it and some copied. Imitation is the sincerest form fo flattery.
How can I join UsR?
Typically you just play with us and if we like you, we ask you to join. Your gaming skill should be good but us liking you is a far more important criteria. If considered, we ask our members what they think. If they like what they see, you are in. It is quite a simple procedure. Just play with UsR members and when UsR members recommend someone to other UsR members, that opens the door.
Why should I join UsR?
If you want a high level of gaming with the element of fun, then this is the place to be. Winning is great but winning while enjoying it is a lot more fun.
What games do you play?
PGR, Gears of War, Call of Duty, Test Drive Unlimited, Pro Evo, FIFA, GRAW, Guitar Hero, Tiger Woods and of course Halo plus all of their sequels :) Each person plays many other games but these are the games where you will find our members playing. We do have a few PS3 gamers within the team also.
How often do you play?
Well in the time we have had this clan going since May 2006, we have seen perhaps 5 or 6 occasions where no UsR guys are online. We have far fewer members than other clans yet we seem to have 24/7 coverage! We do have weird nocturnal habits it seems. I mean what is this thing you call sleep? Isn't it a waste of time?
Can I have a trial run?
Yes of course. Just show up, play us and we will see how you do. We don’t judge people instantly. A few mistakes from a nervous player will not cost you a slot. If playing a team game, you won’t be stuck with newbies and forced to take on the might of UsR yourself. Our teams are fair and we run UsR vs UsR a lot. So you will have UsR on your side. Most people who join are guys we have played with, got along with and said do you fancy a spot in UsR.
How competitive is UsR?
We have friendly but fierce competition. We hate losing yet at the same time our priority remains to have a calm tension free atmosphere. We win together, we lose together but we don’t lose often. Sometimes a UsR member will blame themselves for a loss if they made a mistake. Then the issue is then over. UsR do not blame each other ever no matter what circumstances may occur. We don't forget the good things each person does for UsR. A mistake doesn't erase that. UsR is a loyal family and we stick together. We have a very good record against other clans in the games we play.
