Do ever wonder what it takes to be the best at something? Like a video game for instance.
It mystifies me as I look around online and even amongst my own team how some perceive themselves to be the best.
What stops me from seeing someone as the best is when I see someone keep a secret about their lofty perception. A controller setting, a secret tune, a button technique, what I see as the best people are the people who share these things.
The true best want to beat you with equal equipment and equal opportunities.
The true best want you to give them a hard time, give them a challenge and then come out on top.
That is what drives the true best forward.
Are you one of the true best out there? Do you share your secret tips or controller mappings?
If so, you can consider yourself one of the better gamers out there. Because you do not fear competition and do not fear the loss. You just want to be the best.
As one of those guys who welcomes fair competition myself, I salute you guys and say a big fuck you to all the guys who hide their controller settings, have secret tunes, have tips they won't share and basically hide behind obscurity.
Remember, the day we find out the tips and secrets, you will cease to be the best. That day is coming.
